I think Peter J has highlighted the problem
We’ve got used to modern tin tops with ABS, ESP, EBS, FBI, BBC, MACS, FAB VIRGIL
(Might have made a few of those acronyms up)
My trusty 4/4 is fitted with MESS - Morgan enhanced security system! No exterior door handles.

That RE is a thing of great beauty and joy - to my eyes.
They are going to out Triumph Triumph with that bike!!
Would I buy one - you bet!!! Dealer estimate is that it will be about £6K OTR. The Triumph "Classic" range has got too big, to complex and far too expensive. An equivalent Bonneville would be about £9k. My Thruxton R is now around £13K with a few accessories..that is silly. And for the purist, Royal Enfield has never had a production break, in the way Triumph did. When the Redditch factory closed the Madras one was already making Bullets. Now that the Bonnie is made in Thailand and the RE in Madras, location of manufacture is un important. Interesting RE has opened a design and engineering centre in the UK. Off on the Thruxton for the first run of the year this afternoon.

The car will repair no bother, its price thats the sticking point.
£10k would be more in line, just my opinion.

Agreed - there needs to be a very "margin" in it for whoever does take it on.
Just for the risk and the sell-on alone.
I always think that the "hassle" factor needs to be significantly taken into account.
Be interesting to see what does happen to the car.
