There is a smart hotel near me which has a Morgan 4/4 that the guests can hire from the Hotel. I see it around a lot. It always has different people in it either bumbling about or thrashing it to death. It to has pressed black and silver plates and is only a few years old. Wonder what the innocent hirer will say to the 5 0
when they eventually get pulled over ?

I have a set of pressed metal plates that match my personalized acrylic plates. The plates are close to the ground and can hit the ground if on a speed hump etc. and they break off. It costs almost $500 to get another official set made.

Digimap. You can get plates made up here in UK for around £20 made by a reputable dealer or firm that you have to show all your documents to. Or for £10 to £15 on line they will make plates up in any format or letters stating they are "Show Plates". Even at a recent well known car show they would make any plates up if you had no ID and sell them as show plates. Its to big a problem over hear to be controlled.

It would have to be a sharp police officer to spot that. We run trucks and none of our plates have a BS number on.

Wonder what BS stands for. Think I can guess.

The required font is Charles Wright, to my untrained eye and in comparison with the "Standard" plate the pressed metal plate font looks correct. The numbers and letters are the correct height and the spacing is correct.

As Stewart has said, the makers name, post code and BS Number are etched into the reflective layer.

I'd say they are compliant with the law, unless pressed metal plates themselves are not legal. The makers claim they are legal, this LINK takes you to their web site.
