That brush looks abit rough for wire wheels. More like an item for frightening soldiers from fraternising with the entertainers in Cairo

That brush looks abit rough for wire wheels. More like an item for frightening soldiers from fraternising with the entertainers in Cairo Perhaps they were standard issue to the French Foreign Legionnaires prior to deployment in the area  .

 I seem to have the hang of it - thanks Richard The brush is really quite soft although I have not tested it in the way you guys seem to be suggesting!

Good stuff Phil  . That brush looks a lot handier and friendlier for the wheels than anything I managed to get hold of when I had the Sport, they all seemed too large and too much metal on them.

What about an electric toothbrush for the finishing touch? Expensive solution - yes, excentric - yes. Does it work? Honestly I haven't tried yet. I might, though - when nobody sees me...

I picked up one of these in Lidl a year or so back, I think I paid £9.99 at the time. They work ok, but for the life of me I can't work out what's 'Sonic' about them.

I have recently modified an electric toothbrush for removing hard skin from ones feet. Just cut off all the hairs flush with the the plastic head and stick on a disc of self adhesive Velcro. A similar diameter disc of abrasive cloth with velour backing can then be used and changed when worn out. Just a tiny detail sander really. I have considered using the same idea with a felt pad glued in place and used in conjunction with solvol autosol for aluminium - the applications seem endless! I just don't have the drive in me to do all that polishing.
