Hopefully the skid plate will solve the problem for the future. I'm thinking I still need some form of nylon or Tufnell neatly profiled further around the underside of the rear end sreatching as far fwd as the wheel axel point. Anyone else suffered damage to the rear bead? Plus adjustable rear dampers and more tyre pressure. Food for thought

Yes, but only minor scratching to the underside. I agree that a c. 12" cap fitting around the rear underside would be a good idea. Has anyone with lowered front suspension sustained damage over speed bumps etc?

I've always really fancied the rear profile of the EV3, with the bodywork rising about three inches to the rear from the rear axle point.
Would certainly allow for driving off kerbs etc..!

I've always really fancied the rear profile of the EV3, I too really like the rear of the EV3, and as stated it has practical benefits. Am actively evaluating the options to obtain a trimmed tail, I like it so much.

As usual with MMC, they say it would cost too much to redevelop the three wheeler with this option.
Bearing in mind that both the EV3 And the 5 speeder are quite different in design and build.
The EV3 has a lot of weight saving material in it.
I too have asked about the Kicked up rear end, but to know avail.
Maybe if enough people ask for it!!!!

I brushed the underside once on a curb but, here in Vermont, they are made of cut granite and not formed concrete. Very sharp edges and can rip a tire to shreds but they are long lasting! Now I just avoid at all cost. My damage was minimal but the sound of it gave me a panic attack!
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.
