Giles that sounds great, a couple of years back I flew up to Vanuatu to try and buy an Aussie owned 47 that had nudged a reef , owner had been paid out unfortunately the locals had attempted a repair before I arrived which effectively turned a relatively easy patch up into a total loss of a beautiful s and s swan. Sorry about the thread drift guys.

We’re (Asbo, Crunchie and myself and wives) just about to leave to Heathrow for a flight to Milan to pick up our cars tomorrow from Borghi. The ladies actually fly direct to Rome and we drive down to meet them tomorrow.
A few days in Rome and then to Sorrento as a base to tour the Amalfi coast! Pompeii too and then we drive back to Milan, via Orvieto, and home. The cars are then transported back to Malvern for our pickup. I believe the modern phrase is well-jell. If you are able share how you are getting the cars up and down it sounds very helpful. Our time in the region some time back was fantastic. If you want to share any recommendations you are most welcome. The car park down by the petrol pump in Positano is very good at looking after Morgans but do push his pricing!

Unfortunately the fourth members of our team haven’t been able to come due to a family issue, but we are all looking forward to the trip but will miss you Hannes! Bon Voyage boys and girls - have a lovely trip. A few familiar faces have arrived at Borghi's . https://www.facebook.com/morganautomobili.it/videos/1827481530635269/That GT looks so much better in that colour than the Silver with yellow bits.

I’m afraid I had to look up well jel Alistair! 😂 Transporting the cars down we were lucky that Borghi had some new cars going so that helped fill the transporter. Going back no such luck I’m afraid so the cost is quite high as the truck and dies 8-cars and we were only four! We did it that way as one of us was unable to get much holiday time away from work and this saved at least four days driving! Any recommendations that you have Alistair would be gratefully received, we know Rome reasonably well, but not Amalfi... 🍻

Thanks Rich, agree about the GT colour. Unfortunately it won’t be coming with us due to the family issue mentioned above. Luighi was a gentleman (as usual) and picked us up at the airport. Tomorrow we leave for Rome to meet up with the ladies... Thanks Rich for your wishes, we’ll keep you updated.

Alistair, I will be staying at Positano later this year. Is this the car park you’re referring to?

Ken You enter the one way system down into the main town. Garage Mandara is the petrol station on the bend. They put the Coupe just inside the garage so I did not have to squeeze it. With others they kept the keys and moved them but for the Morgan they let me park and move it. https://goo.gl/maps/5LCV938FKQD2It is then a short walk down the road to the church and shopping area. There are a couple of police cars and also usually a nice Ferrari 575 hiding in there. If you want to talk through some of the excursions etc you are most welcome. DM me with your number if you like. Also give me a guide as to what you are looking for. Family/Couple - walks/food etc etc We have been there a few times as the good lady's mum is from close to this area.

I have sent some info in a PM and also took the step of adding a thread to the meets thread with info on Positano/Sorrento etc for future use. I think we have hi-jacked Hannes thread a little too much already?
They are personal views and so I hope that anyone who chooses to try them does not have a bad experience.
I hope they help.
It sounds like you have a wonderful event coming up.
