Well I have had my Panhard Rod fitted today to my +4.
To anyone who is considering it I say go for it wholeheartedly!, one of the best upgrades you can do, it has totally transformed the car.
When combined with the front BRB's the car stops straight as a die and goes round bends much better than it did before, even normal driving and pulling away seems to be smoother or is that psychosomatic
Very happy with the improvement and totally recommend it!
Just my 2p as ever,
Rylan

Stewart, Is there space to fit it on a new 4 seater? Would be interested to hear how you get on.. How’s the rear spring setup with passengers? Thanks Will

Fitted one a couple of years ago to my 2014 Plus 4. Don't notice all the improvements you describe but it does stop the propshaft hitting the transmission tunnel going up Shelsey.

I was idly leafing through the Burton catalogue, as you do, and came across their version of a Panhard rod for the leaf spring Ford Escort, price £59, just checked the Mulfab Morgan version - £185! Surely there can't be that much difference in the two rod kits? Maybe it has got more to do with the perception of how much a Ford owner expects to pay and how much a Morgan owner will pay?

I think you'll find that the Mulfab kit can be fitted in an hour or so by anyone vaguely competent with a set of spanners and that there are about 8 different variations dependent on model and year, that you have to accomodate for in manufacture Whereas the Ford Escort kit requires careful stripping of the car, detailed measuring and fitting, quality welding, and then reassembly but it fits both Mk1 and Mk2 Escort 2 and 4 door shells of which thousands were made. So £185 + an hour or so's labour, paid or otherwise vs £59 + at least a day, and probably more skilled labour at £50 and upwards an hour Take your pick.... Simon @ Sifab.co.uk

Thanks Will Yes the Mulfab one fits on our 4 seaters perfectly well Andy at Life Motors has a 2005 Roadster 4 Seater and he fitted his last year and I had a good look and play a couple of weeks ago Fitting anti-tramp bars was a bit trickier but he’s also fitted those as well
