A 90 mile return trip out to Lincoln to visit the International Bomber Command Centre (IBCC). A fitting tribute to the 58,000 who did not make it home. Well worth a visit but allow a couple of hours. Good cafe too.

Just out of the garage for a wash & I hoped a blast along the Suffolk coast.
Alas the Mem sahib had organised a fitted wardrobe company rep to come and discuss design & prices at 11.
He left at 15:45!
So this turned into a wash & drive into Felixstowe to see the sea & buy fuel.

A lovely 30 mile round trip to catch day 2 of the Torbay Airshow - beautiful weather lots of families enjoying themselves in the sunshine.
Waved at frantically by an Old English White old 4/4 with black and silver plate and owner sporting a blue Tilly hat near Churston - suitcase on the rack.
Saw a lovely old Morris Minor with headlights near the bumper vintage in BRG it was a soft top and in lovely condition - it had a three letter one digit plate.

Another one to add to list of must visits by the sound of it! No sign of sausage rolls but I can highly recommend a Bacon and Brie Panini.

I met a guy over in Torquay this afternoon at the Airshow that saw the car and wanted to know all about it as he is interested in getting a Morgan. During the course of our chat he had had a Caterham for a while a proper xflow one and was saying he wasn't keen on owners clubs as he found they were a load of bottoms !
I had suggested to him that he may like to join MSCC although I told him I was not a member as I'm not particularly interested in additional dining out or any kind of golf was the stimulant for his Caterham remark.
I did add that it is a pretty good way of learning about the cars and finding some for sale, I also told him of TM as a great source of learning and friendship so we may hear from him some day.

Well, only driven a mile down the road to St Albans Steam & Country Fair for two days at Oakland’s College. Met up with Simon Heaton, whose car is next to Merlin. Grandson doesn’t normally wear a boiler suit when in Merlin but does on the traction engine.  Tim
