Are you wanting to clean a widescreen that is fundamently OK but just dirty , or are you after do a complete renovation job?

If the former then John's suggestion above is good , but there is always an area between the two pieces where they overlap which is difficult to access unless you remove one of the pieces.

If the latter then is best to get specialist advice , crazed and cracked perspex is not easy to recondition, and often it is better to start afresh rather than waste hours on a job that will yield disappointing results at best.

@John V8:
On most of the liquid window cleaner is a sticker like: "not for acrylic"
@MOG 615:
It is an new car (2017) with only 1.500km. It is just about cleaning...
Normally I use products from Meguiars, but they have nothing special for this usecase...

I just use regular car shampoo (Meguiars Gold Class) when I wash it, and standard glass cleaner (Autoglym Fast Glass type stuff) if they need a clean in between washes.

Never use anything other than a good shampoo whole car wash and finish off with a good chamois for everything starting with the screens - I'm not a convert to the spray market.

I use AutoGlym Fast Glass on mine. It is not abrasive and brings them up a treat removing all the water marks that are left over after a wash and leather.

I’ll second Autoglyms Fast Glass

The problem with Acrylic is that it can scratch easily so plenty of Fast Glass sprayed on them use a clean microfibre lightly so that the static on the microfibre pulls off the dust and dirt, then using another clean side of the cloth, dry to finish so you are not grinding in the dirt

You can treat acrylic like paintwork so Detailers work well as well using microfibre cloths

I’m particularly hooked on Meguairs Ultimate Quik Detailer as it’s hydrophobic so it will repell and bead water

Stewart,
I do follow up with quick detailer over the whole car including side screens.
The window cleaner I use is non abrasive.
John
