My 2006 springs were shot too so I changed them. Not that difficult but quite physical for an old codger like me. They can be swapped over but not worth all the effort required. Buy some good ones.

I am an engineer and I did. You obviously concur with swmbo that I am roses

I put 4 Seater springs on Mr Bumble and it made a huge difference. But be prepared to sweat a bit.

Thanks for all the inputs. It just has to be done! In the event I go for new Springs are Morgan the best source? It was interesting to see that even Dave W new springs had different heights/camber even before fitting. Is there a source where you can get matched springs? I would hate to go through all this and then end up with another "tilt"

Looking back my Mulfab springs have been in about 3 years now and all is well. No visible droop. I do keep an eye on them. Not sure how relevant the difference in height is on the bench with no load. Several factors might cause it. Until they are loaded up it’s difficult to know for sure.

You could try a rudimentary load test but I just put the biggest camber spring on the drivers side. It was fine.

It had a drivers side tilt when I acquired with 26k miles on the clock and all the statements about drivers side and wear etc make sense but it still aesthetically irritates! Its like a door dent. Once I know its there I cannot stop looking at it!

Questions:
Are leaf springs interchangeable so the stronger spring is on drivers side?
If yes is it a big job?

Well here is the official view on the issue

I got Kevin Vernon to put in a set of 4-leaf rear springs from Peter Mulberry when he fitted my new chassis in early 2012. No sign of uneven sagging yet.

Interesting response from the factory.

I think 22mm is quite a difference and probably easily seen X eye.

I did notice my 80th now with just 3000 miles on the clock was listing to the drivers side.

As I mainly drive by myself I did think that this was possibly "sag" setting in on that side.

We shall see what develops!

22mm tolerance, no way. Maybe from one car to another but not side to side. Even farmer Jones could get closer than that.
