Me too I thought this seemed like a very straightforward transaction at a very good price purchased from a "social butterfly" wink

May be osten was going to show a cheeky bid and touch hands at 28,500 to get the vendor out of a bad trade.....

Well I accepted the price he gave me we but haven't done the transactionso I won't open the champaign just yet. He is a hard man to pin down so it may take a few days. I'm almost there.

The current owner is the social butterfly with more money than sense or passion. I drive my cars often and make sure to share with friends and people of equal avid passion for cars.

I've already met a couple members of the Talkmorgan forum community here in Dubai earlier this year. Charming folks from all over the world. Even became good friends with the Emirati owner of a stunning Aero8 Coupe.

I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best.

That sounds promising, have you met Q8 yet.

I saw a lovely White Aero in your region on Facebuck a few months ago.

How much would you estimate the cost of labor and tire purchase. The local dealer is already trying to take the piss and quoted me a 1000 GBP for the tire swap & alignment.

Does it require a morgan specific technique or technology to align those tyres?

Front tyres plus tubes should be about £200 ex vat to purchase plus carriage to UAE. Fitting should be about £10 each from a bike tyre place (think motocross shop maybe)
Alignment; you can get fancy if you want but the reality is that if you take the front mudguards off you can check the toe setting with a tape measure in about two minutes just measuring rim to rim at the same height ahead of and behind the axle. There's enough run out in the wheels and play in bushes etc that getting much more accurate is deep into kidding yourself territory! Get the fronts set to parallel (0 toe) and you can always play with it if you feel the need later - also makes comparing the back and front measurements easy between the rims.

In others words the dealer is trying to bend me over without even some courtesy lube. Gnarly!

I've contacted the company one of you has listed earlier in the forum. The rear tyre seems to be the biggest hassle but from what I saw on the pdf file nothing a good mechanic and patience cannot do. How hard is to align that rear one though? Any preferred brands/models?
