I have a 2 hour round trip to do this afternoon - roof down, sides off... it will be lovely. The nice thing with the Morgan is that if you are caught in slow traffic, it's just as pleasant as roaring along at higher speeds.

I would love to find a quick way of clearing the insect 'Dead Zone' on the front wings - it's always such a pain to get it clean. Have tried muck off and various other cleaners.

I may have mentioned this before; but have you tried applying a liberal dose of Meguairs Ultimate Detailer to the area affected?
It doesn’t stop the insects, but in my experience, it makes it far easier to wash them off the paintwork.

I think the secret is to rehydrate them. The problem is they have dried themselves to the car. A wet sheet of kitchen towel draped over for five mins does it, then they just wash off with clean water, tho muckoff makes even easier.
Worth a try honestly....I know it sounds too simple.

My car came with Paint protection film.

I do find that with a spray of Muck off - or Meguiars Detailer ..a few mins to soak in and Bingo - off the little blighters come! Having said that some seem easier than others - maybe its the "splat velocity" which makes the difference!

The paint protection film does make it easier. As mentioned the softening part makes it a lot easier. Using one of the snow foam products a couple of times works for me.

The wet kitchen towel is also ideal for removing bird deposits.

Glass cleaner works on insect deposits. Best with a microfibre.
