As we all know, the Lea Francis was quite a high quality car in it's day but like many others it fell by the wayside.
There was an attempt to bring it back ( and this is an example I think ) but that failed and the whole package including the intellectual property rights were up for sale a while back with an add in Classic & Sports Car.
Very much a marmite car I think, but nice to see it.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

£38,000!

Isn't this a bit rude given that the gentleman who has bought it started the thread?

In any case, how do you put a price on something so unusual? Some people are prepared to pay 3x that amount for an Aero S5 and they are an abundant car by comparison.

my question "aero ersatz?"because I went and saw an Aero Super Sports for sale last year. Not bought because of family dissession.I had comments : the 2 cars are totally different,Aero is a modern car, more expensive, not so exclusive,(perhaps ?) more watertight and too a piece of history...
personal story : in 1989 (!) I have seen by chance the Lea Francis Ace of Spade 2 door Saloon. When I contacted the Sales Manager,he told me that a Drophead Coupe was on the drawing board and promised to send me full details of the car as soon as it is possible. After some promiting negotiations he was never heard again...5 cars were built actually, most of them were FHC in my opinion.

You have a fairly unique slice of history there, I wish you many good adventures in her. I had never heard of this car still 1 of 5 is pretty rare.

You never know the roof might be watertight too thumbs.

Let us know how you get on with her once you have a few miles on the clock.

Nice to see someone be positive. Good on you Richard 👍
