Robbie - thanks for the suggestion of the Port Tunnel. I'll see if "she who points the way" will include this on her navigation options!!!!

The mention of Gliffaes as a place to stay brings back many happy memories from the early 90's. We stayed there quite a few time in Autumn and Winter.

A slow breakfast, papers by the fire, a walk down the lane, a trip to Hay for some secondhand books, a seat by the fire in the afternoon (in time for afternoon tea being set out on the sideboard), a bath to ease away the strains of the day and down to the bar for a pre-prandial drink. Hope it hasn't changed too much - it was an utterly relaxing place to stay with a very friendly atmosphere.

Cheers,

Me too. I was going to say subject to dates but since it's my back yard I really don't have much excuse.

Do I recall that Andy (109er) suggested a 'Tour of Wales' a little while ago?

PS I'm going to get my admission in before Robbie, Lord Plus Faw, posts.
I am now down to a sylph-like seventeen stone ( just had food poisoning for two weeks!! hide

Thought you'd been a bit quiet Gerwyn!

I think you should see this weight shedding as performance enhancing........
A few stones off will reduce your 0-60 times........
And mid range...... laugh2

Crikey, I never thought I would feel sylph-like at 14 stone. Maybe we should leave the cars parked up and walk round South Wales (we could drink more beer that way too) cheers
