No I shouldn't think so - it's only 6.5% not like proper scrumpy, that'll take your paint off too it's so strong

Seriously a proprietary fly squash remover works as does newspaper and hot water, or cold tea. Just cleaned the car ready for Mog 18 and Blenheim, I bet they’ll be a million flies on it by the time we arrive, a total PITA !

I'm going to give the newspaper and cold tea a go - it really is a pain this time of year especially near any open water.

Been on a tour of Yorkshire abbeys with YM. Make some good cider thiose Ampleforth Monks - largest commercial orchard in the north. That cider looks good

I think the secret is to rehydrate them. The problem is they have dried themselves to the car. A wet sheet of kitchen towel draped over for five mins does it, then they just wash off with clean water, tho muckoff makes even easier. Worth a try honestly....I know it sounds too simple. Nick I will try this.

I prefer a fluffy cloth (old fashioned terry nappies are ideal) rather than paper towels, completely soaked in water lay over the flies/bird droppings and wait a bit.
No swirl marks or scratches!

The paper towel trick worked perfectly.... I will try a cloth next time.

I used to run a fleet of 123 Mercs, it actually recommended in the handbook to put newspaper over bird sh*t, soak it and leave it awhile and it would come off without marking the paint. It worked! Paper towel wasnt invented then IIRC and paint wasn’t water based but I still use that method cos we have thousands of seagulls around here, a total PITA and they sh*t for Britain. Rolled up newspaper and cold tea is especially good for cleaning glass even though we now have proprietary glass cleaners. Dead flies hate hot water even more...
