In the GT production ones, which are the differences vs the "standard" Series 5 apart from the body panels?

It was great to see all the Aeros around the cotswolds on the weekend but the star for me was the plus8 on the williams stand , amazing what a few stickers and a couple of spotlamps does to trasform a Mog. With nearly 800 miles driven our little convoy of three cars had a blast.

Well, I spent a bit of time on the floor looking a the Geneva one and then even more time at the factory a few weeks ago looking at a few in build.

It looks like they 'may' have changed the suspension but not all of it. The anti roll bars are stock as far as I can see, so circa 22mm front and rear. It looks like adjustable dampers are fitted all round now but no idea if the spring rates are different.

On mine, the anti-roll bars are massively different front and rear as are the adjustable koni's and the spring rates also a lot different.

Spent the last 6 days driving to Le Mans and back with little side trips and a few laps around the track too!

Because of the new speed limits in force from July 1st in France I decided to stick to the various limits (using GPS for accuracy).

Aside from the time on the track I averaged 30mpg!

At a steady 50 mph that figure is easily achieved!
But so, so boring.

But better than being fleeced by the French Revenue Collection Service (a.k.a. Police)
