Hello guys. Just a first post to say hello from Scotland. As the topic says have just bought an S1 Aero 8 that I pick up in 8 days but who's counting!

Have loved these from the day they came out and never thought I'd be able to get one but with my usual timing have managed it as they stop production.

Already have plans for it and will be picking everyone's brains for information on a frequent basis.

As I believe in start as you mean to go on does anyone know of a conversion that's available to move easily from centre lock to 5 stud wheels to make home fiddling etc easier and less prone to losing a wheel if I get it slightly wrong!

It can be done but will be expensive. If you decide to go that route, let me know as I might be interested in buying the centre locks!

Thanks guys. Really looking forward to many miles to come as I loved the car from the first drive and bought it the next day! It's always nice when a dream lives up to the reality.

Thanks also for the offer Shooter but I intend to keep the centre locks for the day, if it ever comes, of moving on the Aero as dealer advised keeping the car as original as possible as it is such a nice example in his words.

I was hoping it would be an easy conversion which could be switched easily, as late in the S1 run they all went to 5 stud anyway or at least that's what my trawling the web has so far revealed but that may well just be my mechanical naivety!

Welcome to the S1 fold Kevin. Enjoy it, they are lovely cars.
Photos would be nice when you collect the car!

welcome Kevin ; nice to have someone even further North than me laugh2

Personally , I would stick with the centre lock wheels. As long as you don't mix them up when they are off the car and you make sure the grub screw goes back in , you should be OK. I have put a dab of 'Tippex' on the hub and the wheel and use this to line them up when re-fitting.

I remember when I got my Aero and the handbook recommended taking the car to an authorised Morgan dealer to have the wheel taken off - it was bit of a worry!

Enjoy the car when it arrives and ,as already mentioned, we need some pictures when you get the beast.... thumbs

I will post some pictures once I take delivery next Saturday. I do have one I took on the day of the test drive but will probably take me a week to figure out how to load.

I saw your car James on one of the forum topics on headrests I was looking at and loved the personalisations especially the dash insert!

These forums are giving me way too many ideas for my limited skillset other than my imagination!
