Hi all, i love the patina of my Morgan but there are some scratches on the inside of my interior that are annoying me. Can anyone suggest how i can repair some scratches and scrapes on the inside of my doors where the door release handles are fitted - from memory the material looks to be a beige coloured plastic?
There is also a tear to the drivers seat - can anyone recommend a repairer, i can post photos after the weekend if required.

For the seat any good car trimmer should be able to help. I would have thought the door cards were leather trimmed, again a car trimmer should be able to advise.

Cheers,

Iit isn't leather, then it could well be 'Ambla'. As Graham says, a good trimmer can tell you which.
If it is leather then there are number of good restorers on the market which will help a good bit. If you look through something like 'Classic and Sports car' you'll get an idea. I use Renapur which I find is pretty good for minor scratches A lot of pople swear by LTT products. You might also find some useful info on the 'detailing' sites such as:

I used a repair kit from here:

http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Leather_Repair.htm

to sort a couple of scratches - one from a jeans rivet (I could have cried). My leather is black but they can colour match. The instructions provided are good and the product is excellent, the leather filler being especially impressive, and it's not an expensive kit - and good if you engage in DIY. I have no connection with the above, and am difficult to please being an obsessive OCD type personality. (all spanners polished and in size order etc etc).

I recommend wearing slippers and mittens when getting in and out of the car. Your wife should also sell all her jewellery, diamonds can be very hard on the leather near the door handles, also the money raised can be spent on something useful like a sports exhaust or a new set of tyres. She'll understand.

my car is taking revenge from the start!
I have 2 trousers with small rips on back pocket area from the door locks!!!
I have modified my entry/exit method to suit!
Entry = bend to put hand on far seat and slide left leg in under steering then rotate and sir!
Getting out means hand on rear arch front - dodgy when wet though!
