I read with interest all of the positive comments about Tilley hats, so went to have a look at our local stockists. (Cotswold Outdoor at Darts Farm Shop) Beautifully made - agree.  Totally functional - agree. But mainly worn locally by hikers on the coast path, or bird watchers enjoying the Exe Estuary. Fine people all, I’m sure; but not a look that I wish to adopt.   Completely agree, I see boat loads of people wearing these hats all dressed in camo gear with huge binoculars every day so Im not in that camp.
Here for a good time not a long time!!

So, What look do you adopt? If it's practical as well, I might want to copy your look. Remember, I'm still relatively new to all this Morganeering and keen to learn from others experience. By the way, my non Morgan headgear also includes a wide variety of flat caps but they don't seem to work very well above about 40 mph A well made flat cap; Harris or Donegal Tweed in the winter and linen in the summer. I keep a short lanyard in the car, which has a small crocodile clip on each end. I secure one end to the back of the cap and the other to my collar; saves the hat should a gust of wind do it’s worst.

For me it is the Bakers Boy 8 panel cap made in a Yorkshire by a company 100 years old (sound familiar?)
I have 4 and a linen one for summer.
If you get the correct size they won't move.
In the beginning I used to staple them to my head but the blood running into my eyes restricted my driving somewhat!!!
I also use a lanyard available from MMC shop for £2.50.
They also fold up to stuff in to pockets quite well.
To me ,with a jaunty angle, they suit the trad Morgan.
Beyond a certain age in my opinion a gentleman driver should not be seen in daylight hours with a baseball cap !!!!

I suppose, as a West Brom Lad, I should be trending more towards the Peaky Blinders Look.
However if the cap blows off the razor blades could do some serious harm to passers by so I'll stick with the Tilley.

Found this titfer on the way through France, perfect for keeping cool, protecting the ears from sun, and the downdraft keeps it firmly planted at indicated speeds up to 85mph in blustery conditions. I think it might provoke some levity at an austere Morgan function, but the French biker gangs loved it. Might get a Tilley for black tie do's

This guy had it right I never saw him in a blessed baseball cap or Tilley he was a style icon and I'm happy with my Tweed or leather flat hat in the winter and nothing but my thatch for summer. The Tilleys make sense but too many twitchers and boaty sorts down here wear them.

Of course some TMers prefer a rather more swashbuckling look.  I do tend to wear an Australian soft leather flat cap or a linen version....the only things that stay in my head when the side screens are off. Others seem to manage with baseball caps etc but I must have a funny shaped head!  The modern Trad of course was designed with the headrests set so far back to allow baseball caps to be worn backwards 🙄

Of course some TMers prefer a rather more swashbuckling look. Very good  . Did try my flat cap in the Morgan, but once hitting around 50 mph (OK it was a windy day) felt very insecure. Brief visit to Cotswold Outdoors on Thursday and only one it the range was on special offer - strangely they didn't have any. So will continue as I am, with mostly Chevron "officers" caps from my seafaring days.
