Thank you for all the replies folks - much appreciated. Having lived with my M3W for 5 years I am very well aquainted with my local Morgan dealer (Bell & Colvill in Horsley) and they're only 6 miles up the way, which is handy.

Good to hear that the cars can be fettled to be broadly water tight and I'd not thought about the obvious usefulness of the hood stowage area when the roof is up - neat.

I think I'd already read about the need for a sump guard and I didn't try to see if there was any audio kit fitted. There appeared to be what looked like speakers in the front of the doors, but no obvious head unit. I guess it's not difficult to get some sounds in there, even just a basic radio that does Bluetooth streaming?

Next job will be to get Mrs R1NGA down to see one and then assess WAF thereafter. Right now it's struggling to get much of a +ve reading at all from pictures however....!

... there's speakers and a decent amp; it just needs a head unit

... there's storage space for kit even when the hood is down

enjoy!

Will

i sold GTN #5 .… water was pouring on our legs , so we used carbage bags to cover them... our ears froze because the worn rubber at the soft top wasn't available anymore … and a new side window wasn't available when it was damaged… yes, our dealer got one after months ... but still not the right oem shape.

no more Aero's for me.... but , we like our +4 !

I guess no one spoke to the factory about it. I called in about 18 months ago and got a complete set of Aero S1 roof rubbers which I will install at some point. The bad news is it was the only one they had left.

No, it's the +4 Rich for camping expeditions because of the rack. The Aero boot is compromised because of the struts so you need three or four small bags.

Probably too much analysis on reasons to buy - you just have to really want one, enjoy it, live with the compromises and also have a sensible tin top in the garage besides.

Sorry I got that wrong I just assumed..

You are certainly well loaded up there, did the camping thing work out ok apart from the singing cockneys ?

Others with the Aero8 have mentioned the boot space is awkward to pack, I'm glad you are enjoying it though.

Strange Shooter, as our Belgium dealer visits regulary the factory. He took the window himself at one of his visits after searching there for a shape that was +/- the same….but not exactly. Think as soft tops were not "standard" on GTN's , there are some "models" going around….mine had a very thick rubber around the windows , completly worn from folding...

The set of rubbers Igot for the roof were still sealed in a clear bag from the original manufacturer. I must have just got lucky.

For the S5 boot I suggest one large tent roll bag to go in the very bottom section, 2 airline carry on bags, one fits between the struts on top of the tent bag and the other sits down flat on the high section of the boot between the struts.

This still leaves space for the old fashioned make up cases that can fit in the side spaces. Other small cases or bags will also probably do the job

Is the 3 Wheeler going then?
It's a lovely spec (and my favourite M3W colour).

I had a series 3 and apart from water on the inside sills (presumably from the door seals) it was pretty water tight, a micro fibre cloth inside with me to wipe the water up before getting out solved the problem.....oh and when you wound the windows down in rain it poured in from the roof, again the micro fibre held up against the roof sorted that out....oh and I forgot, wipe the boot with the microfibre in rain prior to opening it or the water from the boot lid runs straight into the boot, you'd be surprised how much water the boot lid holds!!!
