The service was originally set up using my personal PayPal account, and that would have been used for automatic renewals. Naturally once the TM Image Library PayPal account was set up I cancelled the auto payment on my personal account but was told that the TM Image Library account would not be used for automatic payments until an invoice was paid.
In June I received notice of the expiry of the domain registration and, via the hosting service, I have renewed the domain registration for 5 years. The invoice for the renewal of the hosting was not generated until the 21st June but, for some strange reason, was not sent to our email address.
The last few days I have been almost completely out of touch and in an area that has little or no internet access. The hosting company did manage to send an overdue notice on the 6th and then another on the 8th which announced the suspension of the account.
It was just bad luck that this happened at a moment when I was out of touch.
Naturally I have taken it up with the billing department over the lack of email notification of invoices.
I can only apologise for the inconvenience and concern that it has caused users and will take steps to ensure this does not happen again.
