There’s always the Tour De France So there is. Seems to have little TV coverage this year.
And the football Championship starts in two and a half weeks

There’s always the Tour De France So there is. Seems to have little TV coverage this year.
And the football Championship starts in two and a half weeks
Oh NO, really?? Our first game's away at Hull 6th August. Can't wait now.  Great effort by England but we should have wrapped it up in the first half before conceding two poor goals. They can come home with their heads held high though.

I just spent the evening preparing the boat for her first sail on Saturdays high tide. The promenade was deserted....even the camper vans that normally park there were gone! Bliss! I’m not a football fan but I am interested in our teams progress and they should be pleased to get where they did.  And before any experts comments....it’s a trial fitting of the mainsail.....the mast and gaff lashings aren’t in place!

They can come home with their heads held high though. Agreed - England should have been 3 up at half-time. A week later Wolves will be playing Everton and that will be in the Premiership of course!! I'll be at TOTH so will miss it!

I was very proud of this England team. They played their hearts out and showed some great team spirit. They got further than any England team since 1990, won a penalty shoot-out, and scored some good goals. Last night's game could have gone either way, and unfortunately it went Croatia's way. With a sensible and decent manager in Gareth Southgate, and between this team and the younger players coming through who won the under 20 world cup last year, the prospects for Euro 2020 and the next world cup are very encouraging. As to next season, Saints kick off with Burnley at home on 12th August
