May I be the first to recommend the Garage 56 Stage One exhaust & 'Spitfire' air filter cover. This is easy to fit and makes a massive difference to how the engine runs. love

+1 for improving the exhausts and, to a lesser extent, the air cleaner.

Garage 56 or MMC stage 1 will both let the engine breath better, run smoother and significantly reduce the temperature of the exhaust headers.

The next step would be higher lift camshafts and a mappable ECU to bring it up to Stage 2. Either DIY or dealer fit the Garage 56 kit or Krazy Horse with dyno tuning are the preferred options.

I've had MMC stage 1 for the last couple of years and am booked into Krazy HOrse for the cams and dyno next week smile

MMC stage 1 kit was everything I needed for massive fun.
Little bit noisy but soooo much better. I don‘t remember if the air filter was part of the upgrade or if I did it seperate but that had been changed too

The MMC Stage 1 is exhaust pipes and air filter. Definetly a worthwhile upgrade, the engine breathes so much better, and runs cooler.

One thing to bear in mind is the exhausts are designed for 2014 cars onwards, so if you want to continue to use heat shields you will need new exhaust mounting brackets and new heat shields, as the heat shields are mounted from the brackets rather than mounted on the silencers.

When I did mine the MMC price with new heat shields and brackets was comparable to G56

Good point on the new brackets for the MMC stage 1 - I'd forgotten about those.

Maybe also get a set of Roller Rockers fitted while you’re at Krazy Horse Chris 😉
