I have ordered one from Rutters. I find that the roller can cause pressure on a long run when wearing thin soled shoes. I have a "favourite" pair for driving! I will paint mine red to match car bodywork.

I tried both with and without and it looks like it's easier with the organ pedal, the "touch" is more thin with it and "race" shoes !!!! Mine was fitted by MMC directly.

Hi All, Swan, it is better like that because if you install it later, you have to modify the carpet (not always easy to do). BR. Daniel.

Folks, Do not be put off by the thought of modifying the carpet -- it is a simple job. You cut it with a craft knife so it fits around the base of the organ pedal and then you seal the cut edges with carpet glue. Just make sure that the edge is well saturated with the glue and leave it to cure fully before replacing the carpet.
It IS really simple - I managed it!!!!!!!
Cheers!

Does the organ pedal make heal and toeing easier? Seems like it might and I was considering adding one for this purpose. I was wondering this the other day - can anyone comment. I find heeling & toeing easy in my Rockports and loake oxfords, but more difficult in slimmer fitting deckshoes. I wonder if the organ pedal would help to make it easier across the board.

Yep... the Organ Pedal makes things a lot easier.. I've spaced mine specifically to make it easier.. ie, closer to the brake.
In race boots that are very narrow you can get a very smooth shift going.

Thanks cereal - It hadnt occurred to me that some tweaking of the fitting could occur. Perhaps I'll add this to my Santa list.
cheers

It also looks nice if you only paint the recess of the pedal rather than the entire surface.... a buffing wheel can an also be used to polish the finish and small sanding disks in a dremel or similar can be used to rough up the contact patch where your shoe touches.

Just bought organ pedal from Melvyn Rutters. Will be fitting it over next few days - hopefully. After "improving" it with red paint to match the car! Red paint will be put into the recesses leaving the tread as plain aluminium.
