The E Type hasn't been in continuous production..... I would like to agree that there is a difference. All the companies that have continuously built a certain product have created something very special. There may be changes here and there, but continuity is the magic attraction. Much more than a replica. These include Morgan Trads, Gibson Les paul, ES 335 and other models, similar with Fender brand, Omega manual winding Speedmaster with hesalite glas, Eames Lounge Chair, Coca Cola small glas bottle etc. etc. All this products are classic, can be purchased new but they are no replicas.

On which argument a new 911 is a classic car TBH...in my view it is not, only the underlying principle is the same, so is the name and some reminiscences of the basic shape but almost everything else has changed.

A Morgan has retained a style since 4 wheelers started. It is the STYLE that gives the impression that a new Mog is a “classic”.
Hence the term “classically styled” seems more appropriate.
911.....should only air cooled versions be called a classic?
Morgan Plus8....only Moss box cars be classics?
When would ( if at all) a modern M3W become a classic?
Where do you draw a line?

I looked up what "Pseudo" means.
Not genuine, Sham , Pretentious or insincere.
I thought i was on the talk Morgan forum? - that obviously hasn't got anything to do with Morgans surely? So I'll log off and do something more worthwhile.............
I'm off to grease the suspension , check the nuts and bolts and generally fettle the Morgan.

Classic cars have their merits being spectacular but mostly not very reliable. The M3W is a classic by birth.

Who gives a flying fig about whether the modern Morgan Trad is a classic or not?
And who wants to waste hours debating what is a classic or not.
I'd rather spend my time playing with Mog, either in the garage or out on the road than coming back to this perennial debate.
It's very simple really, one either enjoys Morgan ownership or not as the case may be.
If not, sell it and buy something more to your taste.
Life is too short to do things you don't enjoy if you have the choice.

If a car is pushed/marketed as a classic in the right way then it tends to be looked on as such. There is scope therefore to manipulate the image of the car and create a classic. One motive is to inflate the value. Another is to infer the owner has a certain “style”.
Far too many cars end up as classics in this way.
Is a HillMan Minx a classic or just an old car?
Anyway...this debate could go on ad infinitum.
Far better things to occupy us ...it is summer after all.
