Having gone there in the Jag with soft top up and Airton fighting a battle with 35C ambient, I don't envy you. And I don't believe the upbeat post either. You were hot. Sweaty. Sun burned and uncomfortable for 3 days solid
In the UK the Mog would have been fun but I cannot believe that it was anything other than endurance in the heat of July in francr

Well Howard, I live in the south west of France and I use my Morgan all year round. Yes, last year there were two days when the heat was pretty fierce but the mans post still rang true to me and I have made some long journeys too.

So....you plan a trip. You look at the details....
Where, distance, luggage needs, weather etc..
You plan accordingly.
Don’t like the weather/heat/lack of comfort?
Option 1...Change your plan to mitigate your dislikes.
Option 2....Don’t go.
The only times I have changed from the Mog are when a misfire occured on route and I returned home to swop car.
We were taking the dogs and needed the aircon due to high temperature.
Load carrying made the Mog unsuitable.
Very few occasions.
Take your thoughts under control.....accept the conditions, get your mindset to cope.
It is like playing sport in varying weather.....adapt

How do you adapt to driving an open car in blazing sun and 35C. Icope quite well with heat but found the LMC this year quite unpleasant say did the others in our 30 strong party. That included 4 e types several Try etc.
On the road adapting was putting the hod up and zircon fill bladt

How do you adapt to driving an open car in blazing sun and 35C. Icope quite well with heat but found the LMC this year quite unpleasant say did the others in our 30 strong party. That included 4 e types several Try etc.
On the road adapting was putting the hod up and zircon fill bladt You just need to man up. I've been driving open-topped in 35 degree heat for days now, unlike these limp-wristed nancy boys in their cabriolets with the hoods up and the air-con on full blast. It sure beats the rain and cold.

LMC temps weren't so bad. What a fantastic event it was and that article is just fine. Good for Morgan and encourages the unconverted to sample the faith.
