The engine is truly a peach. Well behaved in all conditions and vice free. A pity it couldn't have lasted longer.........

Fit wing mirrors as used to be the case in the 60s and you. Can the junk the interior mirror altogether and quite legally.

Door mirrors are also acceptable Howard! From memory the legal requirement is one on driver's side and a second either on the left or a central (windscreen mounted) mirror. Trouble is, car driving test / instruction still relies on use of central mirror, with scant attention paid to either side. Even driving a car the "lifesaver" glance over the right shoulder (when driving on the left) is still very much in use by me 35 years on two wheels makes one maintain good all round observation.

The V6 engine in your roadster is a smooth and very balanced piece of machinery and because of this it is tough to get a sports sound out of it. I bought a Librands which I had my dealer fit. Those standard fit lumps were replaced with more athletic, straight through, stainless alternatives. i might add that the standard exhausts would never "snarl" above or below 4000 revs not even if you trod on its tail. The Librands improved the sound but never to my satisfaction. I looked into the 100 cell CAT that Morgan Hamburg were selling at the time, this was reported to be a further improvment. Fear of MOT failure meant I left that alternative alone. Ring round the dealers they may have found better solutions in recent years.

I replaced the silencers with a pair of Sports silencers from Melvyn Rutter. A nice burble at idle, a nice rumble when decelerating without all the popping and banging I got on my 4/4 which I hated. At speed, yes, noisy but not excessively and no droning.
I agree about the front bumpers and spots. It suits the car. Not a cheap mod though.

Thanks all:
1/. I will look into the mirror (pardon the pun) - from Librands and other places.
2/. I will probably go for a sports exhaust, however, I might just try smaller silencer boxes under the running boards, first.
3/. Yes I do think (after looking into it) that swapping out the front bumper will be expensive...but hey we are only here once (man maths)

I too have replaced the two silencers under the running boards with a pair of Melvin Rutter's sports exhaust and I'm very pleased. No resonating just a lovely burble at tickover and throaty on acceleration .
