A friend living in Spain sent me this today.
I told him I'd ask on TM, has anyone experienced
this before?

Took the car to the ITV ( MOT Station), for testing together with the original documentation. The car failed because the measurement of the wheel axle was ok for the rear but incorrect for the front. Sure enough when I measured it, there was a discrepancy with the measurement detailed on the cars Certificate of Conformity to the actual. As my luck would have it, the Morgan factory is closed for a weeks holiday. I'm pretty miffed that I have to get another document from them.

My COC paper was stating more than one ton of weight for a 4/4.
I was told they use the same paper for all the trad. models. Actually the papers are incorrect for all models.

Makes you appreciate the UK when you read of petty bureaucracy like this. Just spent the last week selling a house in Spain and it needs 8 people from different organisations round the table in the lawyers office to put itthrough and believe it or not a charge of 600 euro just to pay in the cheque and send to the UK.

I have just sold the last property that I had in Australia. It was all done over the internet with original copies of documents following up by courier. It would be almost unimaginable in Italy. I know of the sale of a property here in Italy that was held up for over a year by a little anomaly in the local council. Cost a lot of money to set it right swear

Even in the UK property sales are different in Scotland to the rest. Without real knowledge the Scottish system has better points.
Daughter works in the Land Registry and is amazed at the errors/delays/last minute rushing by solicitors.

Is the measurement total width or track?

Remember that there are three widths for 4/4, Plus 4 and Roadster by wheel offset, and two further measurements for the wider front frame from 2010 for Plus 4 and Roadster.

There's also two different frame widths for the 4/4 prior to about 2005, and also the even wider frame front of the early 80's +8's and that's before we get into the M16/T16 +4 wide body or built on +8 chassis complications....

No, it just makes me wonder how careless UK producers handle certain issues in car production: Thinking about safety issues like breaking frames of M3Ws and the handbrake issue of the ARP. The COC papers must be correct and have to fit to the car. Sorry but I got educated in a kind of German engeneers mode.

A very interesting point I wouldn't mind betting the M3W wouldn't have made it to the market place had it been built in Germany.

Hi Dave.
The car in question was a +4 new from the factory last year,
would have expected the documentation to match the model?
