It’s jet black with a black detachable hood carried in a sleeve which you can attach to the rack. The hood bars are attached to the car and I’d say the windscreen is slightly lower than a modern +8.
Milt fitted a great stereo. You can hear it when the hood is up.

It happens. We just laugh it off, and rarely stop. What fun! Rain is OK, hail is not! Got caught in a sudden hailstorm: at 40 mph it is VERY painful as it abrades one's ears!! Had to stop and pull the hood up!!

while i have a perfectly good hood (it does let in some rain - but they all do that sir!) i have worked on the theory that if you speed up a bit most does not land on you … tried to persuade 'she who must be obeyed' of this theory … worked once, worked twice, third time when we had reached unlawful speeds and we were soaking (and laughing) we did pull over and take the three seconds it took to put the roof up!
all part of the fun!

if you speed up a bit most does not land on you … I tried that in the torrential downpour on the way to Le Mans, it didn’t work at all . Rain on the outside of the windscreen (wipers were of course pretty ineffective), rain on the inside of the windscreen (SWMBOs efforts with a cloth were both ineffective and distracting) and rain on my glasses (could have taken them off I suppose as I couldn’t see anything anyway). Damp thighs and wet backs/shoulders (rear windbreak didn’t help). Had to slow right down as I was driving blind and there was nowhere to stop safely as we were on the motorway. Thankfully it didn’t last long and we soon dried out in the baking sun.

It happens. We just laugh it off, and rarely stop. What fun! Yep. Coming back from France last year the weather was fine when I came off the tunnel. It started to rain just as I passed Chievely services on the M4 and by the time I got to the Swindon junction I was absolutely drenched. There wasn't any point in stopping, so I just carried on, laughing all the way. After all, human skin is 100% waterproof, so you never get really wet. Had the same issue coming back from sailing with my grandson. A sprinkle of drops on the screen, so I slowed down to 30 mph, pressed the button, and 13 secs later the hood was up and latched.

Sadly Howard, the fact that you think this is a good thing is proof that you will never get what Morgans are all about. Never mind, I'm sure you'll be very happy with your Jaguar.

I can see it being advantageous in a hailstorm though Tim!

It does rather puzzle me that howard actively participates on a forum which clearly states in it's header "The global forum for Morgan car owners & enthusiasts".
Perhaps you would like to explain to us howard as it does puzzle me when you appear to delight in "rubbishing" all things Morgan and it does get a little tiresome.
It's easy to lob grenades in every now and then but a lot more conducive to general harmony to be friendly, we are all well aware of the leakages and other characteristics of ownership and that is the delight of them.

I wouldn't want a car with such luxuries as an electric roof.... I'd rather have one with no roof....... Eg Ariel Atom......
