Try Draper for a plug socket.

With regards to Micras getting flooded, this was due in my experience to gums and varnishes building up on the intake system. This GDi isn't getting gummed-up is it? GDI engines are notorious for it.

I will take a look over the weekend.

I had a conversation with the garage and he confirmed it has quite a primative cold start routine of squirting addition fuel into the engine when starting and advised that once it is started it should be ideally run around the block at least. If not the fuel from the start will not be completely burnt off and new fuel will be added on top causing the flooding.

Thinking about it the last time I used the car it was to take it out the garage for a wash and then put it back in. Hence the flooding.

I am lucky in that respect - my drive is close enough to level that I can roll the car out and back in to the garage without starting the engine.

I think this problem is quite common in lots of modern cars. I have read in the Jaguar club magazine about tales of woe after starting the cars just to move them a bit for cleaning etc.
Perhaps old farts like me were brought up to only start a car if you were going to drive it and always give it a few moments to make sure all the fluids were getting around the engine before moving off.
