i was wondering about that too! Leaving East Sussex somewhen on Friday onroute to overnight in Gloucester. So if there is one I'd love to join - have a 4 wheeler now as gone all soft and needed a heater!

Thankyou for asking - Well here goes then -

1980 Mini 1000
2000 Rover Mini classic seven
2000 Rover Mini CooperSport
1973 Rover 2000 (p6)
1966 Morris Minor
1981 Austin Allegro 1.0L
1982 Austin Allegro 1.3HL
1982 Austin Allegro 1.7HLS

Well you asked!

Car 1 is a family air-loom originally my uncles from new
Car 2 is a daily bought years ago and held onto
Car 3 is like new/mint with delivery miles - my pension i guess
Car 4 was saved from the banger racers - far too good to smash up
Car 5 Just love the way Minors drive
The Allegro trio? Remember going into a BL showroom at age 11 and being smitten by the contraptions that are Allegros!. Far better cars than most would believe the ones i have are all low mile, really good original cars. Don't use them much anymore ( prefer the Morgan!) but are proving better than money in the bank.

Yes i have a very big lock up i share with some other nutters.

Send the white coats too...................

Yes, but a very cool drift.
Andy, my first car was a beige Allegro estate.
I have very fond memories of using it as a camper
van one weekend when I was a student with my now wife....
My father sold it to me for 300 pounds and I sold it on for the same amount about five years later. At one point it used to get through a full five litre can of oil every 100 miles until it got rebored!

My first street-legal car was a green Allegro 1.3, complete with 70's-tastic orange furry seat covers and the unmistakeable imprint of a pair of ladies stiletto shoes in the roof lining above the rear seats. We didn't dare remove the seat covers.

Good car though. Reliable, cheap to run, I commuted it daily 30 miles each way to Bristol and back for a year or so with no problems at all.

I never say no to a good convoy, what time were people thinking of arriving on Saturday?
