I've just got my first Morgan, a 1981 plus eight,it has a mirror only on the drivers door. It is not too good, so I want to fit a new pair. What are the best for rear vision

There is some divided opinion about this but I like the Librands convex mirrors.
Recently replaced the old ones with these and they have transformed my rear vision to the point that I'm considering losing the centre cockpit mirror.

The door mirrors from John Taylor are excellent and Stainless steel to boot.

Two days ago I mount the door mirrors from John Taylor. What a upgrade! Much better view... and real solid. On my opinion the best choice.
once: Black M3W with „Jaffa“ leather; 2015 now: Sport grey 4/4 with black leather; 2017

Chaps,
Please tell, are these replacement mirrors better than the round Morgan supplied ones?

In the round rear-view mirrors of the Morgan factory I could only see the folded easy up roof, but not the road and cars.

Chaps,
Please tell, are these replacement mirrors better than the round Morgan supplied ones? YES, +1 and a lot less ££££ Definitely yes The round MMC ones are flat with poor visibility Some after market ones like John Taylor’s aka Phoenix Designs aka Morgan Hoods (I know it’s complicated) are convex with a wide field of vision and are much better and also the method of adjustment is simple but light years better Holdens (Holden.co.uk) do a convex mirror glass that theoretically should replace the mirror in the flat MMC ones as the diameter is the same (part number 090.827) but I’ve not tried it as I think it might be a pain I’ve replaced my door mirrors with JT’s on two Morgans and I’ve never looked back! (I know, I know, I use that gag every time door mirrors come up in conversation)
