Sounds as though a TM gathering at Hive Beach might be an idea smile

I'd be up for a TM Hive Beach meet-up if it were at a weekend. It's a great drive along the coast from Poole.

Andy, I had to look this up but can confirm that the engine is fitted with the Lucas Hot Wire 14 CUX electronic injection. It has also been fitted with a 'Tornado' engine management system early in its history. Runs very sweetly and so far, over my entire mileage, my petrol consumption has returned between 27 and 28 mpg and all in all and I am pretty pleased with that considering the engine size.

Re possible TM outing to the Hive Beach Cafe, Burton Bradstock.
Should this happen, car parking is in abundance, accessed off Beach Road just to the east of the village. The car park is owned and controlled by The National Trust so parking is free for NT members (just make sure you bring your membership card and present it to the Pay and Display machine) but charges applicable to everyone else.
I note A110GE has helpfully inserted the Hive Beach Cafe website link above and this provides full information on menu / snack choices. There are male and female toilets obviously, but these are available to all i.e. you do not need to eat at the cafe to use the facilities.
Clearly, from the interest already noted above, Morgans may be coming from points east, west and north. Anyone arriving from the south will be coming by boat! However, the B3157 between Burton and Abbotsbury is one of the best coastal runs in the south and I would recommend that you try and incorporate this into your journey at some point. The views alone towards Portland are stunning. Equally, if coming from the east you get a great view of Lyme Bay as you approach Burton Bradstock.
If this happens then someone needs to suggest a date or dates. I note a preference for Saturday from Two Tribes. Up to democracy to finalise but I would certainly try and meet up if I am around on the day. I will keep an eye on the TM site but maybe this needs a separate thread?
Over to you guys!

At the Hive this morning (sans Morgan) enjoying a mug of coffee. This is the type of cafe you would wish to see on a beachside.

Ideal for a Morgan meeting.

Steve, this sounds like a dry run for a TV gathering at some stage - maybe in early Autumn when the activities calendar has quietened off a bit?
