I had a green fluid leak last year, which I thought may of been the green power steering fluid, thin green oil, turned out to be from the aircon.

Another thought.
Not the reservoir, but is the power steering BMW or FORD?
Just because there is a BMW lump in there doesn't mean the steering is.
If that is the case then maybe the fluids could drop if the wrong spec is used.
Either that or more likely being a Mog that there is a loose hose clip somewhere.
