Oh, I forgot to mention, that chassis is not worth the trouble to repair.
I was lucky to get a new one from the danish dealer's stock. It's in raw steel as I want and for a 5-speed box. The chassis will be sandblasted, metallized, and have 2 x epoxy-primer and 2 x epoxy paint

Good progress, dix. Don't forget to copy all the holes from the old chassis very precisely; especially those for the front frame - or you will later find out that nothing of the old wood frame and outer panels will fit anymore.

...and congratulations to your very tidy workspace!

The door lock "modification" is interesting. I wonder from what car it stems.

Bodger, thank you for your point regarding the holes. listening I think I'll keep the chassis till I know where I am. As to the door lock, I think I'll have to improve it sherlock, before I hit the roads!!

Dave W, radio and vice are about the same age. You would be surprised if you could experience how well both works! joy

David, beeing old and fragile, it's nice to at least keep warm viking Thanks for your good wish
