In the original tooltray drawings JohnV6 kindly sent me, mention is made of axle movement max 2 inches. I wonder with latest coil spring setup if its now greater

why do you need to carry tools in the car? I have an RAC card holder in the storage of the armrest.

why do you need to carry tools in the car? Because most of the time if something goes wrong it can be easily fixed in a few minutes with a few simple tools: things like giving the MAF sensor a clean, replacing a bit of wiring, wiring/bolting back on something that's dropped off, and so on. These are all things that have happened to cars I've been travelling with over the last few years. On my own car for example I reversed a bit too enthusiastically in a hotel car park in Suffolk and caught the rear of the exhaust on a low curb. Not enough to damage the exhaust, but it tore the rubber mountings and the exhaust was dragging perilously close to the ground. 5 minutes with a couple of jubilee clips and it was sorted. The alternative of waiting an hour or two for the rescue service to turn up is a bit of a pain compared to getting stuck in and sorting it yourself.

Tools give You something to keep occupied while waiting for help to arrive. I once took all the tools and spare parts out of My Morgan and weighed them. Oh My!

What are you using for a Tool Tray now John, or are you referring to your Morgan Original?
I still have mine but the Diff punched a big hole in it where the Jack sat.
One our Register Members has recently been sourcing one from the Kevin, the maker, so more may be available.

Likewise it's guaranteed to get you home, I use to fart around carrying this that and the other but experience soon told me you never have what you need to fix it with you.; £107 pa self and wife any car as passengers or owned cars Britannia.
