Oh yes, thats what they were! Thats why I have a tweeter and a silly looking centenary badge underneath, to cover up the holes!
Have to think of some alternative buttons to put there to control something else!
Yes as Simon says, all the lights between the speedo and revcounter should work. This should be evident when you put the ignition on, they should all light up for a couple of seconds.
Its time to show you my car from inside, otherwise you'll come perhaps in trouble with my questions So it seems there are a lot of things different to the series cars. I want to find out, whats different and what could perhaps be completed. This "tire pressure gauge" I really don't need, always let it be cut off even in new cars. I never saw a car where it works perfect. As you can see, the clock is on the drivers side. This car don't have airbags so I will change the steering wheel to a Moto Lita.
The steering wheel is of the airbag type and the rectangle shape on the dash directly in front of the passenger is also where the airbag is / was located so be careful if you start removing wires.
The coloured switches above the radio look after market all the aeros I can remember seeing had chrome switches but I'll wait to be corrected on that.
Send me a PM with your email address in and I will send you through some more large scale photos of my S2 to review. If you can advise me of any limit on your email account if there is one.
Thats correct, but in this development car no airbag was built in. So I'm able to switch to Moto Lita without major problems (hopefully). But indeed it seems to be a good idea to be very carefull removing wires. It don't look very well sorted under the dashboard
So I'm able to switch to Moto Lita without major problems (hopefully).
I'm pretty sure that in the AeroMax, which I believe has the same steering column as the S2, that had a MotoLita wheel fitted they had to change the column to an S1 type, to make this possible.
It may be worth speaking to someone at the works, like Mark Baldwin, to find out what is possible.
Interesting car by the way, at least you have the clock in a place where you can read it.
