Hi Audioman
I have used Grundy Worldwide. Cheaper than Hagerty when insuring a +8 in the USA.

Hi Audioman

Welcome!

I am just down the road from you in Cupertino. I have my 1983 plus 8 insured with Hagarty.

+1 - exciting times and we do look forward to hearing more! Incidentally Chubb also know about Morgan’s having provided insurance services both to the company and also to some owners.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone! Well the car has arrived at Morgan West in LA and now they're doing all the required stuff - putting the engine back in and making a few changes required by typos in communication between the dealer and the factory. About to start the insurance hunt, thanks to all those who made suggestions, I'll tell you how it comes out.

Very exciting. That would be my ideal to order a car and visit the factory while it is being built. Just perfect. Can’t think of a better motoring experience than touring the CA coast In a Morgan.

I emailed the San Francisco dealer. They say the car arrives as a rolling chassis, still built to your specs, and they install the drivetrain here in the states. That must be all about emissions and tariffs I would guess.
