I believe there is a lot that can be written about the 5 speed M3Wer, although you will need plenty of input from TMers.
There always seem to be plenty of questions, especially regarding what changed when, and what to look for when buying a pre-ownered M3W.

I think both the M3W and Aero range are a minefield. It was hard enough writing about the trads, because the more you look, the more confusing it gets, and I had some knowledge to start with. But either of the above would start with a totally blank sheet of paper, and I don't even have any photos. So it would be a huge task. I don't think I have the time for that.
The concours thing maybe, but very limited appeal I suspect.

Dave, firstly a massive WELL DONE on getting this to this stage chum. When you first mooted the idea of a book, it was an easy task. Sitting and actually getting it done must have taken a lot of effort, despite your obvious love and expertise for the subject, so you really deserve a pat on the back from all of us on here.. I would love you to run a second book in a similar vein, which would sit very well with the producers I would imagine. The most obvious model to focus on would be the M3W as not only is it crying out for it, but there are many more M3W's out there than there are Aero's as we speak. The Aero's should be Edition Three, and you could plan ahead for that. There are a massive number of owners and modifiers out there, and a cracking history book to work from, so you may view it as a real uphill BUT... There is a crying need, You have contacts to lean on, and many people will bend over backwards to assist, Having had one, I'd be only too happy to help you as much (or as little..!) as you wish, I'd envisage similar sales numbers too. So have a brew & a think. Expand horizons, meet new people and write about it. Sorted..! PS - I've recharged my camera

Dave,
given your years with an MG. Couldn't you cover the MGB or the Rover V8 as a power plant.

First the question from the back of the room...........
Not really John, the MGB and V8 has been done to death already. Looking back to 1990, had there been decent digital cameras I could have done a rebuild book from my challenges of rebuilding my V8. It was serialised in Safety Fast! but the images were from a film camera so not very good quality. I still have the transcript though.....it was a diarised blog of events as they unfolded in real time, but all typed up on a typewriter............

As I sit here with my brew, and a cream scone, I'm contemplating this horizon. It would have to be "Buying and Maintaining a Modern Three-Wheeler Morgan" to fit the publishers catalogue. Or should it be Three-Wheeled? And because I know basically nothing about Three wheelers, it would need to be more of a compilation of owner experiences, which means text and images. One way of doing this would be for me to compile a template with various categories within it. When completed by willing volunteers, this could then be the basis for building each chapter. The initial chapter would have to contain product and model changes throughout production, and this will be tough to get anywhere close to accurate................ I need another brew.
