I ordered a new work bench of e bay. It arrived at the Ipswich depot on Monday and there it has sat.
You can call Yodel but get a robot computer that tells you what is on the website.
Their chat line is not working.
I can't collect it as they have yet to try to deliver it.

Not a happy bunny at all.

Can the seller not chase it from their end?

Strange you should have had problems with them. I have been using them for years with never a problem whereas Mail force are a real pain.
Just the luck of the draw I suppose.

neither of us can get any sense out of them.
Have sent the MD a strong e mail and raised a case with Resolver.

They tend to respond on Twatter better than the phone in general. They are a waste of oxygen in our area. We had the same issue where a failed delivery becomes a farce. If you have the delivery failed ticket then just pitch up at their depot and be polite but forceful. Whilst you are there get the seller to start a call with them and explain you are at the depot trying to collect it at the same time.

As you say, luck of the draw. I have had nothing but bad experiences with Yodel, like leaving elecrtonics out on the driveway in the rain when we werent at home. Not once but twice. The only outfit that seems to do a real good job is DPD which really irritates, them being German.

We speak to the drivers a lot to try and foster care from them. When we spoke to the Yodel driver he burst with complaints about driver treatment. The software makes them drive for their lives to hit their daily target. This drives the motivation and actions. As you say Howard the DPD guys seem to be most committed.

Our Royal Mail continue to be effective but expensive to send through. ipostparcels.com (sub of DHL for consumer) is generally good for sending

I’ve only had awful experiences with Yodel
I try to avoid them as much as possible and if I find out the the company I’m using to sell the product used Yodel, I try and find alternatives

They once tried to deliver about £1,500 of goods I’d ordered to a house at the other side of the village and I only managed to intercept it quite by chance

DPD are by far the slickest and Royal Mail are great round me too
