I always enjoy seeing things that others do to make the M3W a happier place to be. First, since the vehicle has car parts and motorcycle parts, I figure some bike parts should be there as well. I am always looking for places to quickly store some things that I want out of sight when I duck into a store or office, but don’t feel like opening the boot. I bought two $8 bicycle cargo nets and attached one to the console side and one below where a glovebox would be, both taut enough to keep things from falling out. The under-dash isn’t well-understood in this pic, but when standing outside the car you really can’t see it. I store glasses/goggles/hats in this net: Next, I am always worried about getting hit from behind at a stop. I attached two LED red lights on the roll hoops. At night, I can set them to stay on constantly, “surge,’ or blink. They detatch and are USB-recharged. Definitely makes me more visible: I just installed these awesome checkered CocoMats. Love the look, and my heel had torn through the original floor mat within 1500 miles: Finally, for both visibility, and just because I think they look fabulous, I installed some amber fogs with LEDs; not to see, but just to help be seen as I approach cross streets, etc.: I look forward to more suggestions and examples by others.

Very nice - I see you have LED headlights too! Regarding the rear hoop-mounted lights... I wonder if anyone has fitted a USB power point between the seatbacks and seatbelt pull throughs?

Good thought, Paul. Mine have a small mount on the hoop, from which you unscrew the lamp. The USB charging port is on the back, so it is covered when in place and can’t be charged while mounted. Thankfully a charge lasts quite a while...longer than many night drives, at least.

Hi Joejoe. I see you have the narrower tunnel cover. I know there are several people making them. How much, and did you fit it yourself? John.

John, My car was originally ordered by another customer, and the dealer had installed it already when I bought it. I know it is from Germany and it really makes a difference to me. My dealer is Norb Bries at Northshore Motorsports near Chicago. Joe

+1 on Cocomats.com
After modifying the templates they sent me I received mats that were just a bit too large to tuck below the radius of the frame tubes and sit flat on the floor. It occurred to me I had neglected to account for the greater thickness of the particular mats I had chosen. So my fault. After speaking with them, we decided I would remove the edging, trim to size and return to them to have new edging applied. This was done at no charge to me even though I offered to pay as, again, it was my error.
