We (Peter J) & I pushed started a +8 a few years ago at the wicked welsh weekend using the rear luggage rack. The problem is your at an angle and as the car starts you find yourself falling down.

Many years ago when I used to Kart race you have to bump start by lifting the back wheels just off the track push & run forward, drop onto the wheels and bang of she went - one day I tripped and fell forward onto the rotating sprocket and almost lost my little finger at its base, still have a nice scar to remind me to wear gloves

No clutches in those days. I used to race in the Green Man 100 International series so I might have strayed into your neck of the woods. Late 70's for me with a Birel Parilla amongst others.

I still have the scar on my knee..yes, as to push the car you are already leaning forward it is almost impossible not to fall as the car pulls away! It was a Trad Plus 8, flat battery but enough to operate the fuel pump. It started easily enough!

Together with our Plus 4 we ordered the photo book. When my wife and I were in Malvern to visit our recently completed Morgan, we were asked if we wanted a photo together with the Morgan. Of course we answered this question in the affirmative. The photographer then pushed the Plus 4 at the wing mounted side light (on the flat and clean floor of the final inspection) into position

My car has a small flattened area on the rear wing where previous owner(s) put their hands to get out of the car. Very hard to see but I know it’s there! I am guessing that is what they did but the temptation is there. A bit like grabbing the windscreen frame. I use the rollbar to push/pull. Librands and expensive push/pull handle!

Actually this is very good point and an issue on Morgans and one that I don’t remember coming up on this forum before in my 4 years of TMing
I push my Morgan back and forward in the garage all the time for access and I have to say I’m nervous of pushing any panel
I tend to spread the weight of my palms over the top of the rear panel and the wooden former inside the base of the hood but because it’s a 4 seater that part of the car is nearer to someone standing behind the car
