I gave some blood about five years ago when there was a national prostate cancer medical research project going on.
They never said it would be five phials of blood though, and as a fainter........although I was ready for it, the gorgeous Australian nurse (female before you all start) quickly noticed my transition to battleship grey.
As I was last in (haha), she basically held my hand and nursed me back from the brink with plenty of fluids.
MrsW wondered where I was, but knows what I'm like.
My test came back negative but some of the procedures she described are butt clenching.

I don't think I'd like to drop my bike gloves at that German ride..!! You'd never find them again.. "Well, they were near my bike.." "Where are you parked..?" "Ummm.."
I think what came over very well was the cameraderie on Sunday. The biggest danger is two bikes colliding in the excitement..

In the same vein, I was part of this for several years.. And it's this weekend, too.. It's now the largest fundraiser for the National Memorial Arboretum I'm told.. https://www.rttw.org

I accidentally saw the Poole and Bournemouth Distinguished Gentleman's Motorcycle run. Was an amazing sight and sound with 600 bikes taking part. I have the clothing for it, but not the bike.
