Yes, a great drive to and from Brooklands today for us too. I like the dispersed parking for us this year, especially as we were right outside the old pit workshops. The new aircraft factory museum was indeed excellent and I hope to entice the grandchildren along on another visit as the interactive displays were very good indeed. The Welington display was awe inspiring and having stood right next to the fuselage, it was difficult to imagine what the bomb aimer must have felt in the horizontal space allocated for his purpose or indeed any of the other crew in the tight spaces allocated them, particular the gunners. Humbling.

A splendid visit to the Classic Motor Hub this morning, a lovely selection of cars to be seen including a flippin' gorgeous AC Aceca. I happened to have a look at some car care products from a local company called Revive Auto Apothecary and the chap looking after the display kindly gave me a free sample of their spray wax to try. I had a quick go with it when I got home and it's very impressive stuff indeed, like Meguiar's liquid wax but in a spray bottle. It also smell very nice too. Goes on very easily and produces a great gloss. They do the whole range of products you'd expect and the prices seem pretty competitive. Quite cute little antique-chemist style bottles too. Usual disclaimer applies, I have no commercial interest blah di blah. That Aceca would have been my take home car of the day, absolutely cracking car and with good history too it seems. A great trip out and good company as always, a few Morgan's too. The last 'Hub' of the year and although a nippy start to the day the weather was good and mr Healey purred there and back in lovely sunshine. Thanks for your company guys!

Glorious drive to Brooklands and back for the annual Morgan gathering.. Good to say hello to some friends and to go round the new exhibition spaces, including the amazing "Aircraft Factory". Well worth a visit.
The weather was just about perfect!
The inside of a Vickers Wellington Bomber was impressive and sobering...
Sobering to think they spent up to 8 hours in it. Very brave men, Thanks for the post Peter. I must get to Brooklands on the next trip to blighty. So much aviation and motor racing history in one place and it sounds like the new developments I read about are improving the site. And the Morgan did get an outing today. A couple of hours run in the Weinviertel with two other old Morgans on a day when Autumn was in the air but the thermostat had been left on a September setting. We climbed the Buschsberg only to find the Wirt was taking his autumn holiday. Never mind, in these parts the next refreshment is never far away. And a surprising number of classics out. Two nice Mustangs, a Mk11 Jag, a DS Citroen, a TR4A, a Healey 100 - but nothing like three Morgans pulling into a town square to get the locals smiling

Not today, but last week, a quite Midweek Lunch run with some of the Sydney Members to Kurrajong, Lower Blue Mountains west of Sydney. Apparently, in our early history, the area here was known as Malvern Hills. We may see some of you guys next week at the Diamond Muster as we are heading towards Sydney and then Bathurst next Friday. Two TM members and A.N.Other plus wives. Should be an interesting trip...

A record breaking Jenson.. Nearly came to grief in one of those whilst passenger in a friends. We were travelling along the A3 when the delivery truck in front braked hard to avoid a dog in the road. Being the basic 541 with drum brakes, a hefty old 4 litre truck engine and heavy bodywork (despite being fibreglass) we were no match for air brakes, and slid gracefully under the trucks tall chassis, stopping as the windscreen cracked in front of my face
