A Morgan Arms challenge came to me when I realised that our 3 cars have a manufacturer claimed power of over 1000 bhp. Now there is nothing really special, other than the magic of 1000 bhp and a clear demonstration of being a petrol head...
In our case they are:
Mercedes AMG C43 Coupe, 363 bhp, BMW M140 5 door, 335 bhp Morgan +8, 376 bhp Total :1065
This sent me wondering, how many other combinations of three petrol engined cars, one a 2 seat roadster, one a 4 seat coupe and one a 5 door 5 seat family runabout can be found that together offer over 1000 bhp.
A second thought is what is the cheapest way of achieving this magical total?
Anyone offer their ideas, you don't have to own the cars, though that does gain extra bragging rights!
And Alistair, I know that you are well in the 1000 Club.....!!!

I'm at the other end of this willy-measuring challenge. I can only muster a total of 479bhp out of a total of 29 pistons in 16 engines, so an average of a miserable 16bhp/cylinder.
"Best" of all is the Renault 4CV, which just about manages to wheeze out a total of 10bhp from its 4 cylinders. Even my chainsaws can do better than that!

I'll be very interested to see who contributes to this and who wins.

Sadly two Polos & an S1 Roadster only get me to 90+110+230 = 430 bhp. Must do better.

Would be interesting to know what the running costs per BHP these three cars is.
Think I am on the most fun cars to drive side of this discussion.
The most fun cars I have had over the years are the Mini (original one not the one with a German accent), Hillman Imp, Climax engine was great, Triumph Spitfire, Triumph GT6, Fiat 127 and a Citroen 2CV.and of course my +4 which is my all time favourite.

And the fastest of all, ( the only one I’ve been caught speeding in) a diesel VW people carrier which must make the total over 1500HP I am with you on this problem. My last two speeding tickets (quite a time ago now thank heavens) were when I owned a self imported Nissan Skyline GT-R 33V at 450bhp and a VW Golf IV PD 150. Both were in the PD150 which was a lovely car!
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

BHP per ton of three cars may be more indicative of fun..........?

Okay I will be rude and share the outcome locally.
MB ML63PerfPack 585bhp Aero 8 Coupe 390bhp Aero 8 S2 340bhp
1315bhp.
However I do have a cheat planned. The 5.5L V8 in the MB is known for taking a bit of tuning. A company called DMS in Southampton offers a 720bhp/690LbFt upgrade. Totally unneeded even at 2000+Kgs but what the heck if you are going to be silly you may as well go the whole hog. 1450bhp!
Just think of the petrol.
