BHP per ton of three cars may be more indicative of fun..........? I agree, see this table. Although the 3.7 Roadster only has a paltry 295 bhp/tonne, amazing how many supercars have less. Interesting to compare the dates as well, e.g. 1954 Jaguar D type 3.4 with 289.3bhp/tonne!

No where near those figures, all the cars I've onwed (not the wife's) only add up to 1200 bhp, the current three I own only add up to 573. But they may as well be anywhere between 0-2000bhp as I can't drive them

BHP per ton of three cars may be more indicative of fun..........? If I start at the bottom of the fleet.. MTW F Super about 20 hp 'Proper' Mini Cooper about 65 hp But both lead the others on fun & 'smiles for miles'

Okay I will be rude and share the outcome locally.
MB ML63PerfPack 585bhp
Aero 8 Coupe 390bhp
Aero 8 S2 340bhp
1315bhp.
However I do have a cheat planned. The 5.5L V8 in the MB is known for taking a bit of tuning. A company called DMS in Southampton offers a 720bhp/690LbFt upgrade. Totally unneeded even at 2000+Kgs but what the heck if you are going to be silly you may as well go the whole hog. 1450bhp!
Just think of the petrol.
Alistair, if you're thinking about remapping the Merc have a chat with Ray at West Tuning, Thruxton, he's one of the top guys for this kind of work.

Good for you on loving a real Mini, they need to be protected. They're great! Very different from the Morgan of course but just as much fun (and dry in the wet). Almost as many people wave or stop to talk along the lines of " I had one of those as my first motor" Andy

My Morris Minor Traveller has 50 HP from its 1098cc engine .Great fun to drive and difficult to be caught speeding except in 30 zones .
I don't think HP matters , it's maybe a vanity thing .
