Nothing like taking the mickey out of one's self. The best flying I've had in the 45 years I've held a license has been in this humble little VW powered beastie. More fun than a Spitfire? Well if a Spit owner wants to swap for a day we can then go to the pub and compare notes e.g. both planes have a sliding canopy... A desperate thread drift avoidance manoeuvre now: Horsepower is good but does not directly relate to enjoyment.

Personally I don’t care what mine all add up to. It’s not how I would measure the worth of any car. Some of the best and most enjoyable cars I have owned would be at the low end of the bhp rating table.

The most enjoyable car I have ever had was a mk1 RS2000 which optimistically may have had 110bhp. I was 20 years old, invincible with no responsibilities which probably added to the enjoyment.
Also very fond memories at 19 years old of driving a triumph vitesse to the south of France whose brakes failed on the way down, but we kept going as it was less grief driving without brakes than trying to find a BL dealer enroute.

£35k for a Minor that hasn't even had the usual upgrades? They're having a right laugh.
