The most fun I ever had was in my Citroen Ami8 all 602cc and 32hp of it, we went from here all over Germany in it and then up through Denmark, Sweden and Norway. It never missed a beat great little machines cruised all day long at 65mph and sipped petrol.

And such a looker wink Ours was dark green of course.

I read in the newspapers that guys with big cars often want to compensate for short dimensions of something else.

Horses aren’t essential, at 18 I had a Mercedes 609D panel van which was 80hp and 5.5 tons fully laden, even that was good fun. it took forever to get up to speed so the fun was making sure none of it was wasted, slowing down was absolutely the last resort.

I don't think HP matters , it's maybe a vanity thing .

OOh, Pics please! I love Travellers. I have been a fan since I read Charles Ware's book on the concept of the Durable Motor Car back in the 1970's.

The perfect Minor just for you Tim......

"The Beast of Turin" is probably the best example I can think of to demonstrate that horsepower at a mere 290hp but 28 Litre engine doesn't really matter. For sheer presence and character this car takes some beating IMHO.

If this doesn't stir your soul nothing will.

p.s. I'll bet Duncan doesn't need to measure his.

Mine too, in fact, I don’t know how they can tell, but on many occasions I’ve heard folk whisper behind my back, “ what a cock! “

( apologies for lowering the tone, but since we’re using quips from the seventies, it seemed appropriate)

My stable of petrol and diesel vehicles totals 1013.5 if I include the Peugeot 125cc scooter! The vehicles are:-
3.7 Roadster (with upgrade ECU and sports exhaust)
Audi 3.0 V6 TDI Allroad
Porsche 964 C2
John Cooper Works Mini Cooper S
BMW 1200GS
Peugeot Tweet 125 cc
The Tweet probably equates to the sports exhaust uplift!

Porsche 964 C2
JCW Mini Cooper S Cab
BMW F750GS
