Thursday drove through Virginia into North Carolina. Worst drive in 37 years in the +8 and 245k Miles. Caught the tail of Storm Michael. 8 inches rain in 12 hours plus strong winds. Flooded roads, fallen trees, downed power lines. Today in brilliant sunshine drove down the Blue Ridge Parkway to Asheville. Another 300 miles. Now 2150 since leaving New Jersey

Stephen, that is a nice part of the USA, are you heading Pigeon Forge over the smokies?
I on the other hand took the long way to B&Q to buy some bits & pieces, 30 miles for a 10 miles run. The weather was excellent.

Crikey, I don’t think I’ll be even attempting to get the Morgan out of the garage today

Not today. Still howling wind and pouring rain. Strangely when you walk outside you are hit by the warm air.

Left Asheville Friday morning early. Cold but sunshine Drove last 80 miles of blue ridge to Cherokee through smokey mountains, then down moonshiner 28 and 18 towards Augusta. 295 miles in glorious sunshine to Augusta. Just a great drive.

Fitted new AVO shocks front and rear on Thursday and Friday,then took the car for two spins up the river and a few other trips this weekend too. The weather was great and the car transformed. Most I have driven the. Morgan since my two spine ops and fusion in May. Stiff and sore but happy and Elrond is washed and put away ready for the next outing. Next weekend with any luck 😄 Washed and Tucked back safely away with Emerson
