£1,200 a year for electricity that's crazy we pay £384 with eon - our electricity and oil bill doesn't come to £1,200 pa. It's a thermally efficient 3 bedroom 40 year old house but no solar gizmo's.
I wish. We have a 1990 3 bed bungalow with decent insulation and the annual cost is north of £2k with the thermostat set at 19.5C. And a log burner used a bit.

Cavity wall insulation was the biggest contributor to thermal efficiency for us just incase you don't have it. Programmed thermostat at 20C mornings and 21C evenings for herself feels the cold when she's not tearing around.

So you already have the Morgan of houses then ? no mention of leaks so maybe not?

I charged a couple of times on the way up whilst stopping for refreshments at service stations. In Edinburgh, charged at the Aiport. On the way home charged at Gretna services and had dinner, then a quick top up at Tebay and a cup of tea. As I had an early start this morning I also topped up at Telford before getting home.
To my actual destination it was 324 miles. Took 6 1/2 hours on way up and 7h 40 minutes on way back, both including charge/refreshment stops.

So now we have the technology that enables battery owners to participate directly in the energy market, to make money from their generation capabilities (most commonly solar in domestic settings), and there's a lot of money to be made - hence all the companies offering VPP deals. That's why the government doesn't have any need to subsidise the battery industry. Can you point me in the direction of some of these companies, please? Thanks.

Who is your current supplier, Bob? If they don't offer anything then I think Ovo are doing something for domestic customers. I work on the commercial side so all the current schemes I'm aware of (EDF, Ecotricity, LimeJump) are working with generators above the FiT limit, and if you get the FiT contribution currently you are much better sticking with that as the current price differential between the FiT Tariff and the wholesale price means you are already being paid far more than your electricity is worth on the market. Domestic customers need to work in aggregation with loads of others to get their electricity output up to a tradeable amount, you can't buy and sell individual KWh on the market. Companies are starting to set these arrangements up but in these early days it's a great deal easier to do it with companies who can do things like covering their factory roofs with solar panels.

Without picking holes, how long were the breaks for refueling.
