Thanks sospan,
What does the tonneau add re driving experience?
It covers the passenger side when I am driving alone. This reduces wind entering. It also means not having to raise the hood in light rain/showers. When parking it covers the driver area. It is my first option before the hood. It is really good if driving without the sidescreens.
I have the old style studded roof so the hood itself is only used if a serious risk of rain is expected.
Both the hood and tonneau cover are removable and fold down for storage. If using the hood I fold it to form a cover for the rear shelf and as it is partly fitted it is then very easy to fit if rain starts, almost easy-up in use!
Our dogs come out in the car too and the tonneau cover folds in easily to leave plenty of room.
When I had the rollbar fitted I had to wait to use the tonneau cover as it needed mods to fit. I really missed it.
I assume you will have the modern easy up hood but I have no experience of it so perhaps others can comment on the hood/tonneau cover options based on actual use.
